Shrub and Tree Care
- Shrub fertilization in early spring and/or during planting throughout the season

Seeding and Sod Installation
- Proper preparation is the key to a good lawn whether you are soding or seeding
- The addition of a minimum of 2 to 3 inches of topsoil is necessary to provide lawns with enough area for root growth
- High quality seed and fertilizer are used to ensure a thick lawn
- Sod also receives fertilizer to promote quick root growth and strong establishment so that shock of less water doesn’t burn out new grass
Invasive Plant Control
- The borders of your yard may contain these weedy plants that spread quickly and choke out many desirable plants
- Garlic Mustard, a 2 to 4 foot high weedy annual can be controlled by spraying or pulling, the caution with this plant, if a plant matures and forms a seed head that seed head has 600 to 800 seeds that will grow upon contact with soil
- Buckthorn, is a fast growing glossy dark green leaf with dark purple berries. Birds eat the fruit that has a laxative like quality, compounding the spread of this weedy shrub/tree, this plant is removed by cutting it close to the ground and either spraying the stump with weed killer or grinding the stumps
Patios
- Built with a base of traffic bond that is compacted in layers to a thickness of 4 to 6 inches
- Brick pavers, concrete pavers, natural stone, and crushed stone
- Walkways are also created in the same way
- Wooden decks and concrete are also in the scope of creating you back yard patio
Retaining Walls
- There are many different materials that can be used to accomplish many objectives; concrete block, wood, natural stone, and concrete products that look like natural stone
- The main objectives of retaining walls are; functional, to hold back earth, to terrace a hill, to stop erosion, to create gardens, to increase the useful area of the yard or driveway, or just because you like the look
- These structures all include a level base and are either dry layed or set with concrete

- Burlap to cover deciduous evergreen shrubs from the burning of winter sun
- Evergreen boughs are used to protect ground covers and perennial gardens
